ABOUT US

The creation of Terpenes Nation came about the frustration by the lack of ecologically sound products that were all packaged in single-use plastics and no focus on sustainability. There was and still is, huge amounts of single-use plastics in the hemp industry.

Our Mission

Terpenes Nation is a privately owned, not-for-profit education facility established in 2023, aiming to teach people everything there is to know about the hemp plant. By teaching people everything there is to know, we hope to equip people with the right knowledge to properly advocate for the plant. Terpenes Nation is an organic and legal low THC hemp farm, which means we are legally able to educate our members through hands-on experience.

Our Focus

The Terpenes Nation is primarily focussed on promoting the health benefits of hemp, honing in on teaching its medicinal qualities and the array of ways it can be used to get our bodies functioning optimally.

Our Leadership

Terpenes Nation has made it his life work to destroy the ugly stigma which has been given to the hemp plant, and to attain a level of federal acceptance for its many healing uses.

Our Goal

Currently, we are working on growing our members to 100,000 people. 100,000 is the number of people required to create a powerful mandate that will force the powers that be to listen to our decriminalisation and legalisation plea.

Sustainability

Incorporating a circular model to waste ensures we extend the life of materials by re-using them. Biodegradable packaging, carbon-neutral shipping and even turning off switches/lights in the office helps reduce our carbon footprint and our impact on the environment. We strive for choosing production processes, technologies and materials which cause the least possible stress to the natural world and our community members.

Social Responsibility
Being aware of the importance of ‘give-and-take’ in our social and natural environment, we have assumed a responsible role in helping shape it. We are committed to supporting local, national and global charities/NGOs through donations, partnerships and sponsorships.

Quality
We make all our products with scientifically-backed ingredients. Every ingredient that is included in out products is there for a reason. We use no filler ingredients of any kind, which results in concentrated and highly effective formulas.

 SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability at Terpenes Nation starts at the core.
The hemp industry is one of the least regulated consumer categories which leaves companies open to using filler or even harmful ingredients in their products. Not only this, every year thousands of tonnes of microplastics wash down our drains into the environment due to the plastic packaging a lot of hemp products come in. Roughly 70% of the hemp industry’s waste comes from packaging, which is why Terpenes Nation was created. To change the behaviours of consumers by making people move away from single-use plastic packaging and re-define their relationship with hemp products.

What is Sustainability?

Sustainability is a subjective and broad term that encompasses a variety of factors, but to Tepenes Nation it means maintaining healthy environmental, social and economic systems that are productive and resilient long-term, locally and globally.

Our vision in reducing single-use plastics and reducing product waste has enabled us to develop our Sustainability Goals Framework 2022-24.
Sustainability Goals
The United Nations has developed a framework of 17 Sustainable Development Goals that set out the biggest economic, environmental and social challenges facing the world today. We looked at which goals would be most relevant to Tepenes Nation as a business and identified 10 goals that we believe we can have a positive impact with.

1. Our Carbon Footprint

We use carbon neutral shipping options for our orders and offset some of the emissions of supplier deliveries by contributing to the Eco-Packaging Alliance which plants trees in areas in need of reforestation.

2. Our Materials

Following a ‘circular economy’ model to waste management, we consciously choose packaging that is either compostable, recycled, reusable and/or biodegradable.

Because we make our products in small batches, we ensure we don’t create unnecessary waste. Sourcing botanical oils from environmentally conscious suppliers and opting for organic where necessary and possible.

3. Community Participation

Community is a deeply rooted value for Terpenes Nation which is why part proceeds go towards various charities, NGOs and community initiatives. Our blog is their to inspire, educate and inform, bring awareness to certain issues and topics, as well as highlighting sustainability in business.
Building a culture of inclusivity and transparency is a key feature in how we operate and communicate to our consumers, suppliers and other stakeholders.

4. Health, Safety and Well-being

Our employees are the heart and soul of Terpenes Nation™, we know the effort, the time and the passion everyone here puts in. That is why we are committed to building an environment that is rewarding, comfortable, stimulating, diverse and safe.
We aim to work with verified and reputable suppliers that follow a code of conduct that outlines the expectations around responsible environmental management and sustainable product development.
Carbon Footprint

Our goal, as a business is to be carbon neutral. We are currently in the process of becoming certified by certain Carbon Reduction organisations/institutes as a Carbon Neutral Business. We are consistently looking at ways to offset 100% of our emissions, as well as carbon credits from a range of projects.

Shipping

We ship all our orders with Australia Post, which provides carbon neutral delivery. We we FSC certified cardboard mailers, expandable kraft paper, and tissue paper. Orders are shipped with compostable mailers.

What’s next

We are currently in the process of becoming a member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO), which is a co-regulatory, not-for-profit organisation that partners with government and industry to reduce the harmful impact of packaging on the Australian environment.


Cruelty Free

None of Terpenes Nation products have been tested on animals. Additionally, we are aiming to be vegan friendly.

Interest of Transparency

We continuously audit our suppliers and ingredients to ensure none have be tested on animals.
